I received an invitation to join the newspaper in my ninth grade year around scheduling time. This opportunity led to an experience I never even thought existed up until that point. When I do have time, I really do enjoy watching slam poetry. I rarely have time to do much of anything, although.  At the beginning of this year, I was accepted into Eastern Michigan University. I received a scholarship from the school, so I will be getting my masters in forensic science and minoring in photography. I want to make this newspaper the best it can be; I would like to have time to make sure something is not just “good enough.” It was very overwhelming to be part of such a big process. My view on it now is that the paper is a big process, but that is what it takes to make the paper better.
