The Stockbridge varsity boys basketball team rushed back and forth down the court, trying to win the coming home game against Lansing Christian on Friday, January 13. The boys went into the game knowing it was going to be difficult. Lansing Christian took the lead and won the game 61-57.

During halftime, the coming home kings were announced. The freshman king, Jake Risner was escorted by Elysia Medina. Sophomore king, Andrew Zeigler was escorted by Jada Moser. Junior king, Hunter Alvarado was escorted by Kaylee Hall and the senior king was announced to be Stanley Plennert, escorted by Allie Showerman.

The other senior kings included Trevor Bunce escorted by Rachel Smith, James Fredenberg escorted by Aziza Shokranova, Austin Forbes escorted by Julia Olson, Austin Standfield escorted by Charlotte Balkus, Levi Weiland escorted by Crystal Gallup and Cade Wright escorted by Poppy Cox.

The previous senior king, Collin Curtis, came back along with escort Hannah Kightlinger to grant the kings crown to Plennert.

“It was a really cool experience being crowned as king,” Plennert said, “I’m thankful for all the people that voted for me.”
