“Chase passion not paper,” speaker Mike Smith said. Smith believes making a difference one school at a time, we can change the culture in our schools.

“I did learn a lot more than I think I would have, but the one thing I did take out of it is that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything that you want, and it’s good to help others and really be aware of people you may not know, but people are thinking different things and you might be thinking about them, and people have different lives than they just do at school.” Kyle LaHie Grand Blanc West Middle School 7th Grade.

To wrap up the Mike Smith conference, a sing along to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” was performed, creating an uplifting vibe among the crowd.
