“I picked going into construction because I took construction with Mr. Perry and I really liked it so I took it as a junior at the Wilson Talent Center. As soon as I walked into class, I realized I was the only girl and it really pushed me to be better than the guys because everybody has doubts that women aren’t as good as men in that specific field. I always pushed myself to out perform them and show them that I can do what they can do. When there is a female in a male dominated industry people are skeptical but usually they are more successful because they have a drive to be better than the guys.”
