The Native Tan and Boutique is the newest edition to the pocket-sized village of Stockbridge. Walking in, you are immediately greeted with the warm tropical essence of paradise and ready to experience a nice relaxing tan.
The salon is connected to Kitley’s Custom Exhaust and Auto. The two shops being connected sounds a little bizarre’ however, the salon is secluded totally from the Auto shop leaving the atmosphere calm and relaxed and the customers with a satisfied experience.
Before you begin your tan, you have to walk up to the counter. Pleasingly, there are stickers available on the table for free, along with sun tan lotion available for purchase. Since Stockbridge is a rural and low-income area, it was nice to see that the prices for a tan were so affordable compared to other salons. A monthly purchase at level three is 55 dollars compared to Malibu tan in Jackson, where an equal level of a gold membership is 70 dollars monthly.
Cleanliness is very important when it comes to tanning beds. Native Tan and Boutique is very sanitary and clean. Not only can you smell the cleanliness but you can see Sanders-Kitley making it a priority to clean her beds after every use.
Overall, Native Tan and Boutique is a very nice addition to the community. Whether you go tanning for events such as school dances, vacations, or even to relax, Native Tan and Boutique is an excellent option in addition to an affordable cost.
The owner, Tracy Sanders-Kitley, had the dream of bringing a new tanning salon to our town since the two previous salons had permanently closed down, leaving our community having to drive at least 20 minutes away to the nearest salon. Sanders-Kitley didn’t just want a tanning salon. Instead, she wanted to add a boutique. The goal was for people to come and take five to 15 minutes and just breathe and relax from the outside world.
