The Stockbridge Future Farmers of America team has been stepping up compared to previous years. Julee Chapman has made many different changes compared to previous years. She was able to get a chicken coop, they went to the national convention and even ordered a shed for the team. Now, fueled by these recent changes, Robert Richards has recently taken over the team which has led to even more great things because of his connections with other big organizations. On Friday Oct 28, 2022 The FFA team traveled to Lucas Oil Stadium In Indianapolis, Indiana for a nation-wide FFA convention. Close to 70,000 people attend this convention each year. At this convention, the team was able to meet with thousands of other FFA members to talk about their interests. There were even pop up stands everywhere that you could buy merchandise from.
“This was a great team bonding experience. We were able to get to know each other better while also learning more about the FFA community,” sophomore Megan Mackinder said.
