For the first time in 28 years, both the girls and boys cross country teams won regionals and were able to run at the division three state-wide race on November 5th at the Michigan International Speedway.
“We were so blessed that our team got to step foot at MIS and experience a once in a lifetime event,” junior Gabrielle Heath said.

With small teams of 6 boys and 7 girls this year, both the boys and girls teams were ecstatic to be given the opportunity to run at states.
“I was so happy to finally make states this year,” senior Alora Mullins said. “It was such a huge meet and we were so honored to be given the opportunity to even compete.”
The girls placed 25th out of 26 teams while the boys finished 23rd out of 28 teams. Even at the end, both teams were proud of their accomplishments and plan on going even farther next year.
