Greedy, money-hungry, trillionaire corporations are willing to swallow any currency you have. Giant shopping centers have extinguished local mom and pop businesses to create their empires like Walmart, Meijer and Target.
While Stockbridge is decreasing in population, with them evaporating businesses. Giant chain restaurants and shopping centers have popped up in the last few years because of their cheaper products from huge farms and goods from China. While local stores put $45 dollars for every $100 back into the economy, big box chain stores only put $15 back for every $100 according to the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. Buying local helps you chip in on a better economy for your community. So, next time you buy a pizza from Rob’s, you’ll know where your money is going.
