On October 8th, 2024 Stockbridge hosted a combined senior night and dig pink game against Maple Valley. The Stockbridge volleyball team created posters that were hung up in the gym to show support for people with breast cancer. There was also a silent action outside of the gym with 3 baskets up for auction. The baskets were donated from Mx106 ranch, K and V Custom Carpentry, and Debrielle’s Flower Shop. Overall, the baskets raised $135 that was donated to help the breast cancer cause.
This event was a celebration for the volleyball seniors and their team, but it also helped raise awareness about breast cancer and the hardships it can bring. Junior volleyball player Chyanne Lindquist was a part of making the decorations and contributing for senior night. She was able to see the impact the dig pink game had on both our community and surrounding communities.
“I loved how many people showed up in support of not only the seniors, but the cause we were fighting for,” Lindquist said.
