Former choir teacher leads concert
Former choir director Carol Hatch made her way to the stage, directing the Stockbridge Festival Chorus on Sunday, December 3rd.
It was Hatch’s first time directing a Stockbridge choir since she retired from teaching in 2020.
The choir’s song selection took people through the seasons, starting with spring and ending with winter and Christmas songs. Songs included, They Say It’s Spring, Song for the Mira, Something Told the Wild Geese and Joy to the World.
The event was entirely free and was sponsored by the Stockbridge Area Arts Council, and before 2020 had been performing annually for many years. Accompanying the chorus was Chet Czubko and Adam Knight, who gave a special performance of Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky.
Members of the Festival Chorus included Erica Cesarz, Lori Miller, Kim Williamson, Deb Dugan, Sarah Lilly, Linda Minger and Dave Avery, among many more talented singers.
