Smoke our life away

Want to hear about a poopy situation? The chemicals put into the human body through smoking are also found in dog feces. Smoking is directly responsible for approximately 90 percent of lung cancer deaths according to the American Lung Association.  While they look harmless, they are possibly the most accessibly dangerous substances to put into your body. Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals and 69 of these are known to cause cancer according to OxyGen.org, a website to promote and encourage young people to adopt and/or sustain a smoke free lifestyle.

Eleven minutes of your life is taken each time you smoke a cigarette according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information. That means for every 20 pack of cigarettes, three hours and forty minutes of life.

While smoking is totally disgusting and can cause multiple types of cancer, they also can affect the outside appearance of humans. Yellow and rotting teeth, bad breath, early aged wrinkles, smelly hair, yellowing of fingers and poor eyesight are all caused by these cancer sticks.

Secondhand smoke is more harmful to others than it is to you.  The American Cancer Society says you are harming the people around you two times more than you do to yourself by smoking. So, do everyone a favor and put it out. The harms caused by these cancer sticks to you and other people’s lives is not worth looking “cool.”
