Senior Jack Youngblood running in the division three cross country state meet. “Everybody worked so hard in practice and in the meets to get here,” Youngblood said. “it all paid off when we were announced 4th in the state.”

As the cross country season has come to the end, the Lansing State Journal posted it’s “dream team” which consists of six runners from around the Lansing area that have had successful seasons this past year. One of our own, senior Jake Chapman, has been chosen to be on this prestigious list that only few have the honor to get. We also managed to get some Panthers on the all-area team as well. Seniors Alan Baird and Jack Youngblood have been chose for their hard work as well this season.

“It’s nice to get the recognition for all of the work and dedication that I have put in since my freshman year,” senior Jake Chapman said.

All over the Lansing area, teens are hoping to get onto this list and our school managed to get three people onto it.

“It’s cool that Alan and Jack are recognized for their work as well,” Chapman said. “We’ve all work so hard to achieve what we have achieved.”
