Help support the library this holiday season

Submitted by English teacher Alaina Feliks

We all know that reading is essential to students’ academic success, but did you know that recent studies suggest that reading fiction also helps children be more empathetic and understanding to others? The study, reported in Psychology Today, suggests that reading can help students develop moral and character traits as well as crucial academic skills.

This holiday season, you can help the students of Stockbridge grow all of these important skills by donating to our Donor’s Choose project to stock the high school library with new, high quality books.

Give to the project by November 25 and your donation will be doubled thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Just enter the code LIFTOFF on the payment page and you’ll be matched dollar for dollar (up to $50).

Thanks so much,
