Self improvement can bring happiness

Self improvement is easier than it appears

January 8, 2017

With the semester coming to a close, students can easily stop caring and just give up on everything including academics, relationships and friends. Some may begin to feel overwhelmed at this point.

That stuck feeling is okay, because there is always room for improvement in all aspects of life. These issues can be fixed. One of the goals in life that a person should always have is to strive to be the best version of oneself as possible.

One way for people to better themselves is through forgiveness. When people are forgiven, not only does that make them happier, but it also helps the person who forgave them feel less stressed and let go of grudges.

Forgiveness is important because it makes everyone involved more kind and happy, and it allows people to have better relationships with their families and friends.

While having a healthy mind is very important, so is having a healthy body. One way to achieve a healthier body is to drink more water.

Drinking an adequate amount of water daily is important for overall good health because water aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and even excretion,” according to researchers at UW Health, University of Wisconsin, school of public health.

Another powerful way to self improve is through exercise. According to UW Health, exercise helps people gain balance, which is important to teens so they can stay physically fit, fight off sickness more easily and participate in sports.

Something many people struggle with is procrastination. To stop procrastinating, students should complete their homework right when they get home, and if they have a responsibility that needs to be handled that takes under 20 minutes to complete, do it right then.

One of the most obvious ways to self improve that often goes unnoticed is to smile. When a person smiles, it makes other people happy. Happiness rubs off on other people. Smiling will improve your mood and make you happy as well.

Self improvement is easier than people think. It is important to make short term and long term goals to accomplish.
